Argentine mastiff

Also know as Argentine dogo, the Argentine mastiff is a large, white, powerful dog with a massive skull and strong jaws. The species was originally developed in Argentina as a hunting dog. It has a short coat which is always white, sometime with pigment flecks in the skin. It's a brave and even-tempered dog that barks little, and is very loyal to its handler and family. The Argentine mastiff has considerable stamina, and tends to dominate other dogs.

An Argentine mastiff named Gladiator Maximus, attacked Kyle Dyer, anchorwoman at NBC's KUSA Denver affiliate, during a live, in-studio segment on February 8, 2012 that was meant to celebrate the dog's rescue from an icy lake the day before.
