Red-eye
Red-eye is the term used to describe the effect that can occur in photographs where the pupils of the eyes can take on a red color. The red colour appears when the pupil of the eye is dilated, usually in a low light environment when the light of the flash strikes the retina at the back of the eye, reflecting the light through the wide-open pupil.
